Actually, it does work, but it takes a while to figure out the exact potions and their order. It has been a while since I did it, but both shapeand color of bottle have to be correct, as well as picked up in proper order.
kinda late but you get the green round bottle in the windowsill, the jar of mushrooms to the right of the wooden chest (I think) and the square blue beaker to the left of the chest. once you put the antidote in, it will turn purple.
