Guys, the message boards is indeed about feedback, but one does not have to complain to get heard. I've been noticing some turmoil in the message boards dealing with the new dungeons, darkmoor in particular, and their difficulty. I just felt needed to address this, so here I go.
Starting with the difficulty, different people have different experiences. It all depends on how you play, more then just your team. My squad went in there our first time, none of us knew what to do, but with a few quick checks to the guide here and there, we blew through it pretty fine. If you communicate properly, and know what to do, you should be pretty good. I truthfully wouldn't say it's the difficulty that itches people (including myself) off the most, it's the time. On our first run, barely knowing what to do, that one dungeon took us 4 hours. It took an hour and a half just to defeat malistaire's minions! Some people don't have the time to spend hours upon hours doing this, and some people do, like myself, but don't want to. But it still doesn't keep me from doing it. So yeah, long hard dungeon. Nothing that hasn't been seen before.
But you guys don't have to do it! I literally spent all this time until now, with the same waterworks gear ever since I first got it! Almost 2 years ago. You can live without the dungeon gear, trust me. And don't worry! There's plenty of time from now until the next big update, for you all to farm darkmoor. For all you max levels complaining about how "little there is to do," what else are you gonna do if ya got the time to kill? This dungeon is optional, Kingsisle isn't shoving it down you guys' gullets. They aren't making you do it, and if you want to, it's your choice, So don't complain about it, because after all, you don't have to do it. Alright, I think that's pretty much it. Sorry if this was too long, I just had a lot to get off my mind.

Well said, and I completely agree. I almost never see anyone complain about the first Graveyard boss though, but he's the one that always kills my teams the most with his periodical cheats.

Shane V2 is maybe the boss people complain about the most, but he's actually really easy. If you have a Storm that happens to have Steal Charm TC, you can do it in 2-3 rounds with some organisation. If not, you can just damage him every round to prevent his Beguile cheat while one of you blades up. Death Dispels also help a lot: fizzling won't allow him to use his cheat and you can heal.

Malistaire isn't that hard either, he just has a lot of health which makes him a very long and tedious battle, even with Doom. That could partly be because no one I've seen, including myself, has bothered to keep track of the turns when it's safe to have your blades on. Not too much of a challenge either, you just need patience.

I also want to say that you don't really need to use your bottles when you flee from the Graveyard, because the main Darkmoor area has a lot of constantly spawning health wisps, and the Graveyard entrance area has mana wisps that fill you out as soon as you enter. Then you can just Dungeon Recall back to the action.

That's true, but think about it, imagine how hard the next worlds will be. We need this gear. And if you're a pvper, you won't last a minute without this gear. Another thing. You'd be pretty mad if you spent hours trying to get something, and you barely get anything. That would make you upset, yes? So I think you should try to understand, because I literally spent 11 hours in this dungeon only to get a wand. ._.

I'm having fun with Darkmoor. The gear and drop rates are better than Tartarus, and it's more interesting to do. I like it a lot.

first of all I like the changes and the new dungeons to the game. I totally agree its how you play that determines your outcome in the game. I love the new challenges and it wouldn't be fun if there were no challenges. keep up the good work kingsisle.

Yeah, the next worlds will be more challenging in some points and cases. But no....you don't need this gear. I went through Azteca with that waterworks gear. And I'm someone who isn't easily ticked off, so not getting anything doesn't really bother me. I like the satisfaction of killing the boss more than what he drops sometimes. But I do still hope for gear when I do it.

PVP is a slightly different story, but still, I did just fine in it with my gear. Strategy can overtake how good your gear is sometimes.
