So, I've been fighting some of these in the Science Center. being a Life wizard, I need to use prism to maximize my damage. During the fights, i try to get life prism cast first so when they drop a death shield, it doesn't get caught. Here's the bug:
It casts Death Shield I cast life Prism It casts Death Shield I cast death wand hit It attacks me I cast Forest Lord
At the time of casting Forest Lord, my prism is the last one in line (because it was the 2nd spell cast). now, when I cast Forest Lord, here's what happens:

The wand hit removes the last shield cast, it just doesn't look like it. I've had that too.
but my point is, when I use Forest Lord, it uses items in this order:
trap, trap, prism, shield
When the order it was put on was:
Prism, trap, shield, trap
If they get removed in exactly the reverse order, it's using the shield out of turn. it should NEVER use the shield if the first item placed on it was the prism. using the following example, this is how it SHOULD be done:
Round 1 (it) casts Death Shield Round 1 (me) cast life Prism - at this time, if I use a life spell, it will get converted by the prism and then hit the shield, as it should Round 2 (it) attacks me, only 1 death shield up Round 2 (me) I cast death wand (it clears off the shield, leaving only a prism behind) Round 3 (it) casts death shield Round 3 (me) I cast forest lord. The correct order of usage should be any blades I have on me, then the prism, then NOTHING else. What actually HAPPENED was it used the prism first, THEN the death shield (out of turn)
That's a bug. if it placed the death shield BEFORE I placed my prism, it would be fnie, but it places a death shield AFTER I place my prism, and it's not allowed to reverse order like that just because it's a monster. It truly is a bug

The NORMAL thing to happen, as long as your prism is the last "trap" in line is that it should bypass the death shield all together, but it's not.
I don't see a bug. It cast a Death shield before you put on the prism. You converted into the Death Shield. You took care of the second shield by using a wand attack.
You have to put prisms on before any death shields are casts or you have to wand all of them to get to the one "at the bottom." Again, your prism only bypasses if you put it on before the Death shields were cast.

ok, let's do this the easy way then, since apparently Im speaking greek or something:
1) It casts death shield 2) I cast life prism 3) it attacks me 4) I cast DEATH wand hit (clearing off the shield) 5) It casts death shield 6) I hit with forest lord
how does THAT use the death shield? it's BEFORE my prism if we go in reverse order? He places a death shield last, which would come up BEFORE my prism.... but the game cycles back around and USES the death shield even though it shouldnt.
Should happen: Prism (convert life to death), death shield, death wand hit = wand hit used, prism used, shield used
Death Shield, Prism (convert life to death), Forest Lord = Shield should be ignored, Prism should convert, Forest lord should hit
Does happen: Prism (convert life to death), death shield, death wand hit = wand hit used, prism used, shield used
Death Shield, Prism (convert life to death), Forest Lord = Prism converts, death shield used on forest lord hit.
If this still isnt getting the point across, then help me out because Im out of ideas.

You've indicated a different casting order in two of your posts. In the original post, the enemy threw up two death shields before your death wand hit. In the second post, your death wand hit is before the second death shield goes up. This makes a big difference.
Whether or not you cast 'correctly' or not, there is no glitch. More importantly, you do not need to cast a prism on these. My Life wizard is level 55 and has defeated a bunch of these for several quests in Celestia without casting a single prism, and has not be defeated. Use you blade, you trap, and the Spirit Blade you should have trained in Krok to boost your damage. If your wizard has gear with critical damage, you may get lucky and defeat these guys in one hit with Centaur.
I give up, it's just a bug I'm going to have to deal with. No, I DONT need to use a prism, but that doesnt matter. The Death shield gets used regardless of what order traps, prisms, and the shield get cast in. THAT is the bug. I'm sorry I cant make it clearer than I already have. no, I have NOT talked about 2 different orders, I cited an example of how it SHOULD work, and then how it WAS working. Whatever, this bug, which IS a bug, will permeate the game forever. If I cant explain to you guys what the problem is, KI will NEVER understand it. I just cant believe something this simple, which IS a bug, cant be communicated effectively.
Whatever, i give up. im done trying to bring this issue to light. KI, feel free to delete this thread

Hello,
What Oran describes is correct. The first shields placed are the last ones to be removed.
This is a helpful post that describes trap stacking.

It is not a bug. Read what Professor Greyrose wrote.
the problem is, the LAST shield on is the LAST effect off. I understand how stacking works, the first one on is the last one off, but in the case of the water matons, the last effect cast is the last effect used. Think of it this way:
1 = prism 2 = trap 3 = shield
I have seen this happen on multiple wizards. Read left (most recent cast) to right (oldest cast):
That, is a bug. Under NORMAL circumstances, the removal order should be 2, 2, 1. The shield should NEVER happen AFTER the prism in the order i showed, but it does. ANY other monster, that NEVER happens
this happened to me too but still there right the first was on the convert you took out the other shield thats why you need more than one wand hit to set it up
Not a bug at all, as long as the first shield up was placed before your prism that is correct. The last shield on is first one triggered by the wand, so it leaves the one placed before the prism. This is the same for all battles, not just Water Maton. There's no bug.
