best way to leveling up is to just stick to the main quests and not the sides.(except when farming for gear the first few times of going in a dungeon you will get you lots of XP.) good luck my friend.
Leveling up in Wizard101 takes patience. If you go too quick, then the game won't be as fun. It is good to enjoy the game at a slow pace. It would be boring to just speed through the game.
I highly recommend doing the side quests as well because when you do the side quests, you get a little head start on the next world. Dragonspyre will be really hard if you don't do the side quests. (Trust me, on my old level 50 life who didn't do the side quests, I nearly quit the game ).
There is no magic wand to do this. Do you quests, and do side quests as well. This is the only way to level up. And the goal of any game shouldn't be to get through it as fast as you can, it is to have fun. So do that.
I would suggest to play Grub Guardian and win some Major XP Elixirs, and then continue your usual quest line.
One moment before you talk to someone to finish a quest, open your in-game gift window and use one of those elixirs. Your reward will get boosted by quite a bit. The boost from the elixir might not seem like it would be a lot (just 10%), but when you're talking about over 100,000 XP from one mission, I wouldn't sneeze at getting an extra 10,000 if I wanted to level fast.
actually if you wanted to get to level hundred it would take a long time, and you might WANT to do side quest they help you level fast also if your patient i was level 31 going into mooshu with side quest and 40 leaving mooshu
Wintertusk is a great place to go for a lot of XP once you've hit level 40 and done everything you need to get there.
But the game takes a while unless you're logging a lot of hours every day. If you play like some people, you could probably get to level 100 in a 2 - 4 weeks starting at level 43. If you play like me, it will take a while. I've been taking a lot of breaks lately.
