The Reveal Fish School seems to lag a lot when cast in certain areas of Dragonspyre. I don't know if it's just my computer, or the game in general. It seems to happen mostly in The Forum and Drake Hatchery, but those are the two areas I'm mostly fishing in right now so I can't say for sure if it's just limited to those areas.
I cast the spell and the screen freezes (presumably while the game gathers data on the fish schools), but you can still hear it working in the background. When the screen finally unfreezes, the time it was frozen is counted off of the timer. I get about half of the normal duration of the spell to look around to see what schools are there.
Sometimes that's all the time I need. Other times, like when I'm fishing in the areas where there are two bridges with an area to fish on either side, I want to have the full effect because I need to run to the other side to see what's over there. This lag causes me to have to cast the spell again to see what's on the other side, wasting energy and thus costing me opportunity to actually catch fish.
If there's a way to fix this, that would be awesome!
