Elephant Graveyard Glitch

I Was Questing in Zafaria today, and one of my quests was to rescue a prince. there was a whole cutsene and then 4 shadow-web-haunts spawned in, the quest was I had to kill 2 of them, so I assume this is a glitch.
(I was doing this solo)

Seeing as this occured in Zafaria, I am going to guess that it is normal, seeing as Zafaria is one of the tougher realms in the spiral.
