There is a rumour that these will be taken away from us, and replaced with an inferior item.
If that was the case, then these items should never have made it to live realm. Now that they have it wouldn't be fair to remove them from people who have acquired them.
If it's a PVP issue, then a solution would be to make them non-pvp.
The gear and pets need to advance, as time goes on. We're Exalted now, and will eventually grow further.
