Hey I have been mixing up my gear a little.

I am going to have Hood of Judgement, and Wyrd-Walker robe. I need a good pair of shoes though. Do you guys have any suggestions? I am looking for damage and universal resist, and critical block.

Well at your level the crafted Avalon boots will give you good block. I think there are some Azteca crafted that work as well.
I did this on my Death in Avalon as I stopped blocking criticals. Waterworks boots didn't have high enough block.
Look into some of the crafted boots, that should help.

I'm level 82 and still using my Waterworks Boots of Judgement. I haven't come across anything better yet, even for crafting. Maybe I missed the Avalon boots recipe, but I think it didn't have any universal resist, which I personally find to be a priority when deciding what gear I want to wear.

But if things like critical and critical block are more important to you, I think there are some crafting recipes in Avalon and Azteca.

And then of course there is Jade Gear........

Gobhann someone-or-other in the fungus area in the Wild sells crit-blocking boot recipes. You lose some pip chance/accuracy, and some damage (a lot of damage, if you're Storm and were using ww boots).

Of note, the "your school plus another school" boots have high crit blocks and some resist built in. If you look closely, the boots who share as one of the covered schools, will always have some degree of global resist, usually higher than your ww boots. These also give your ice spells a small accuracy and damage boost, which may not be useful to you at all but there's no harm in it. (Except for the times when you actually do want to use Stun Block or Tower while under a smokescreen, then hey every little bit helps!)

The school-specific boots are worth a look.

As with all other gear, decide before you go into a battle or traverse a cluster of street mobs, whether to change your shoes. Low crit chance for them = use your ww shoes. High crit chance for them = change shoes.

The balance ring has pretty good universal crit blocking as well as a nice 45 balance crit block. I'm not balance and I bought this recipe anyway, it's that handy. You lose some pips and some damage if you've been using your Nastrond ring, but gain a hefty chunk of crit blocking.

Courtly dirk is the only other recipe I bought, it's a crit blocking athame with a health boost. If you've been using raven claws or bear claws it's basically the same story as with Olyphant's Storied Scimitar - you take a pip chance and damage loss for a big health and crit blocking boost. Again you're going to be choosing gear profiles outside doors to get the best result going into a battle.
