Let me say first off if I have this right. one power pip is the equivalent of two right. So one regular pip and one power pip would be 3 pips. But that is not what I am worried about. I have a couple of treasure cards that isn't from my school. But I've had them since level 74. And I am already a 76 close to 77. But I am still not able to use them and I don't know why. The cards are either 8 or 9 pips. But when I am in a battle and its my turn. I have to keep passing then maybe the cards would show up. But they are always grayed out. Does anyone know why this is? I am also thinking is it pointless to have them in my deck if they are not gonna let me use them. I am a Myth btw.
But I don't think me being a Myth would matter, would it? Cause when I am in a battle and I keeping passing my turn. Every turn I get a power pip,not a regular one. The things with pips is... the gold pips are for YOUR school only. So you being Myth means you could end up with 7 gold pips that would be 14 pips for you but only 7 pips for a card not of your school.. Hope this helps!
The reason they are greyed out is because you can only use power pips if the spells are of your school (or the school of your mastery amulet) if you use an off school spell (spells that are not the school you are in in your case ) no matter what type of pips you have they are all seen as worth 1 pip even if they are power pips.
For example take two different seven pip treasure card spells fire dragon and storm lord now both of these cost seven pips but since I'm a pyromancer I can use three power pips and a regular to cast fire dragon. However i would still need three more pips for storm lord because its off school and it sees my three power pips as regular pips, and I don't have a mastery amulet for it.
Just as a suggestion try to stick to your school spells and low pip off school spells at level 76 its the best thing to do since you can only wear one mastery amulet at a time and for most that amulet is life mastery for better healing also you can hit harder with your own school than with another.
And not to be offensive but I'm pretty sure they tell you how pips work in both the tutorial and during deigos dueling training early on in the game, and I think its in the player guide too.

I've seen it plently of times in the game that other players are able to cast cards that is not in there school..and they dont have the amulet on.

There are plenty of myth treasure cards out there it just takes some strategy to make them work at their fullest.
And while other players can do it without amulets it still takes up all of their pips both power and regular pips. So if they are casting an off school 6 pip spell and they have 6 power pips its going to take all 6 of those power pips to cast not just three.

You don't need an amulet, you just can't cast spells rank 8 and higher without an amulet.

You aren't paying attention to what folks are saying. You can cast any spell from any school, IF you have the correct number of pips. You will never be able to cast an 8 pip spell not of your school without an amulet. That's the way the game is set up, has always been set up and most likely will remain.
Power pips are a boost for your school only. (Did you do the Diego the Duelmaster quest at level 6? Its explained there, and shown by example) If you have one yellow (power) pip and one white pip, you can cast up to a level three spell for your school only, or for a school you've trained AND have an amulet for. Otherwise, you can cast a level on or two spell for that other school. Power pips count as regular pips to your secondary school or a treasure card not of your school.
