1) Names are not unique. There could be a thousand,or more wizards with your exact same name.
2) Advertising for a friend is probably the worst way to find one. You would be much better off to just variate your play times,and jump to different worlds,and meet and interact with people,and then add them to your list based on their merits you find desirable.

Have you gone to any of the fansites to look for help/friends? The one I like is wizard101central.com. The reponse time is quicker there too.
