Trouble in Paradise

Can someone please help. I just defeated the boss at then end and was told to go talk to Zaylin Reedwalker. The arrow is pointing to her, but there is not way for me to open the door to her cage. There is no "x" button message for me. Now what do I do, I can't go on, cause I'm assuming that this is a main story line. Can someone please help.

Hello Professor,

I did leave the area (Three Points) and return, and the 'x' still didn't show up. I ended up leaving the area and using the return key a number of times and still no 'x'.

But I will send a message like you've advised.

Right, yeah I know that I don't 'talk' to her but I do need to open her cage door, which I am not able to do.
