I teamed up and forgot about it, then someone else teamed up and left, and I had to restart the battle. The team up should turn off when you join battle.
We'd need to be able to turn it on and off in the Options menu. I'll be doing other things while waiting for Team Up if there's anything to do, and that includes battles.
I think you are over thinking this, team up should just turn off when you start battle.
I'm not over thinking it, you're just not thinking about the people who might want to have Team Up still running when they enter battle. Or wait, are you implying that Team Up not turning off when entering battle is an error? It's not.
