I don't know if this happens to other people, but every time i go to the commons through the ravenwood tunnel, my mount disappears! So instead of riding on a 40% faster mount, i'm running 40% faster! It's like i have superhuman powers! Eventually, my mount reappears, but by then i'm halfway across the commons. Is this a glitch or what?
This is because your computer isn't fast enough. So before the mount's 3D graphics can be processed, it doesn't appear but the effect it have still registers so that happens.
