What do we know about Morganthe?

First, I want to refer to Malistaire's story. We all know that he did all the mischief, but he as a lover just wanted to bring his wife to life. This served as his motive and gave him a more humane character.
Back to Morganthe, she seems to me like a rude, nutty girl without any character. Is making Morganth such an in-humane character, has its roots in the culture that women in power are just bad for no reason? Just seeking power without any motive. Why like Malistaire, Morganth should not have a humane part of her under the surface? Maybe some tragic event in her life made her do bad things.
I hope that one day this mindset that good women are powerless ones, and powerful women are just evil, changes; why not Wizard101 be a pioneer in this change?

I already know how Morganthe Arc is going to end (by that I mean how she will react, it's pretty obvious lol... Now watch my thoughts were 100% off o_o)

But they did do a little article on this in their blog, here:

Enjoy! :)

I do think that KI needs to make her reason for what she did more obvious. I had no idea that she almost destroyed Ravenwood along with going beyond Ambrose's "rates", nor that she even attended Ravenwood!

I do agree, she does seem like a lunatic, and the average player does not read KingsIsle's blog.

Alhazred and King Artorius, the writers for Wizard101 story, speak a little more deeply about Morganthe in the recent blog here: http://kingsisleblog.com/2013/10/22/the-villains-of-wizard101/. I'd advise you look into it. Morganthe feels wronged that she was being held back as a growing Wizard, and wanted to become truly powerful without all the restraints and slow paced training. She knew she was smart and clever enough to manipulate the most powerful of magic, until she made the faintly mistake of nearly destroying Wizard City, and subsequently getting expelled from Ravenwood and being stripped of her magical powers. Morganthe sees this as people not trusting that she is right, leading to a denial of power. Morganthe believes she is a powerful wizard and that desire has burned into a plot to make the whole Spiral know this.

This time around, the writers wanted a villian who was more ruthless than Malistaire and could take a more deliberate stand of destroying the Spiral rather than Malistaire's ideas of risking the Spiral's end for one person (he had no real desire to destroy the Worlds). So Morganthe has a motivation of deliberately changing the Spiral to get back at those and everyone who don't think she is a powerful Wizard as well as gain the knowledge that she feels was denied to her.

I don't think the intent was that of what you're saying, but many players seem to think that. I, honestly, think that these feelings stem from a larger love of Malistaire as well as a majority of Wizards not likeing the challenges of the 2nd Arc. And because of the highten challenges, most Wizards become lost to the story and disinterested.
