Second chance chest in Darkmoor

So, when you defeat Malistaire In Darkmoor, and use his second chance chest, can he drop the best darkmoor athame for your school?

I don't think so, the top tier athames in Darkmoor are dropped by Yevgeny Nightcreeper, not Malistaire. I've only seen gear from it that Malistaire himself drops.

Unfortunately not. The tier 3 athames can only come from Ygveny NightCreeper. It is probably to increase the chances of getting Malistaire's gear. GJ Kingsisle!

Technically, yes he can. Will he? That depends on your luck. In my experience, I've essentially never got what I wanted from a second Chance chest.

I am pretty sure the darkmoor second chance chest does not drop the 16 damage athames.
