I would love to see, if possible, a small symbol on the fish caught, (or in the tome) that would say whether that fish can be used in crafting recipes.
Hi- I agree with you about the fishing being tied into crafting like this, because it would be super cool and stuff, but I think it would be confusing. We already have seperate crafting stations for everything, maybe they should start the idea off by combining all the different crafting stations, into one do-it-all station. Now, that, would save time and money, who wouldn't love it?
