So, I've been trying to look for a good pet for my death wizard, or even any other beginning wizard, but I tried looking on the forums and I just can't find any good pets available from the beginning bosses... for example, I was trying to find one for my death, and then Red Ghost came up, I looked at its stats and I was like 'Yeah, I'll go get this!'... Then, of course, I found out that it DOESN'T come from any beginning bosses.
If you can, please help, it's nice to have a good pet for a low level.
If your baby Death wizard has enough gold and is willing to hatch, there are a lot of amazing pets out there to get started with. In addition to Red Ghost, great starter pets include Ghost Dragon, Penumbra Drake, Brainy Assistant, Winged Catastrophe, and the school pets.
The Penumbra Drake has strong base stats and comes with three cards - a trap, a beetle that leaves a trap, and one Red Ghost card that gives you a damage bubble.
The Deer Knight comes with a Feint that you can stack, and there's a chance at getting a Deer Knight card, which hits everyone for about 300 + 300 DoT.
You can farm for this pet in Krokotopia: if you have wooden skeleton keys, Ra drops this pet sometimes. The Mummy Cat also drops from the Nomad Camp house. Even if you don't have that house, you can still visit one listed on the Castle Tours and check in daily for small prizes. Mostly it's just junk but rarely, some great pets drop from the that merchant.
Pets I have fully trained and ready to hatch include Deer Knight, Winged Catastrophe, Ghost Dragon & Penumbra Drake. I also have a Red Ghost teen, and a Mummy Cat teen. If you're interested in any of these, let me know. Hatches will cost $40,000-$50,000 gold, so be warned.
