I can also verify this is the case, the OP just beat me to posting it to the boards. I just did a run through of this area earlier - thankfully I knew what the quest objective was for this quest already and can verify it does complete correctly - it just doesn't say what it is you're supposed to do. The arrow pointer does work, however.
