The removal of duelist pierce removal while not so extreme did more harm to the ongoing battle vs jade or high resist users. I understood the meta needed to be slowed down which is good, all schools can technically compete with each other, while storm being more of the black sheep of the major changes. The question still remains that if players are forced into using shrike as counter measure to mass resist, then why not balance resist with utility spells. Like shrike, a spell can be made that gives extra resist stats, rather than players be able to go jades using natural core stats. Just my 2 cent on that scenario. Wards are technically pushing jade like stats, combine that with some mediocre offense and you got something that can still demolish if played correctly.
