Fire Ants on Queen Crape Myrtle

I think I know the answer here but thought I would ask:

I am level 90 in Azteca, Rank 10 Gardener and I planted a Queen Crape Myrtle.
It now has Fire Ants and I need a Rank 7 Ant Lion spell to kill them.
Is my only option to let the plant die?
I am grinding hard at Azteca but I am still a day or 2 away.

You need the "Summon Pixie" spell. You can get it from Charley who is in Krokotopia. But it's gonna cost you 175,000 gold coins.
