So it's nice to see some improvement but you've still have a lot work to do. You bring PVP back up and more people will play.
Now can we not be insulting to new players or players that don't have a good understanding of PVP please. We need more people to make it better, not chase them off because you got an easy win. Maybe take someone under your wing or give a few suggestions. Also remember the IGNORE button! Still one of the best features in the game.

Maybe there'll be a trickle-down effect on the team matches if more people are finding 1v1 to be viable again. All of the old teams have probably fallen apart, so it might take a while for new people to start grouping up after so long away from the arena.
Here's hoping PvP is revitalized for those who love it!
